01The noise

Golf got loud.

Satellite yardages on every shot. Swing speeds, shot tracking, heart rates, notifications. Somewhere along the way, the phone became the main event.

Short Pencil goes the other way. The course's own card, your score in pencil, and a beautiful card to keep when you walk off eighteen. Simple. Elegant. Easy.

02Left in the bag

What you won't find.

Short Pencil does one thing: it keeps your score, beautifully. Everything else stays in the bag.

  • GPS yardages

The sprinkler heads and your own eye still work fine.

  • Shot tracking

Nothing to tag, pair or charge.

  • Ads

    Not one. Not anywhere.

  • Sign-ups

No account. Open it and tee off.

  • Tracking

Your rounds stay on your phone.

04How it works

Easier than the card in your back pocket.

No setup, no account, no learning curve. If you've kept a scorecard, you already know how.

  1. 01

    Choose your course

Search any course and its card fills itself in: par, yardage and handicap for every hole, from the club's own card.

  2. 02

    Pencil in your score

One tap a hole, for you and your partners. Putts and fairways if you want them, nothing if you don't.

  3. 03

    Sign it. Keep it.

Sign with your finger and seal the card. It's in your inbox before you reach the car, and kept in your scorecards.

05Made with care

In the spirit of the leather holder & the short pencil.

The things golfers have carried in their back pocket for a century were handsome, honest, and asked nothing of you. Short Pencil is made the same way: quiet while you play, beautiful when you're done.

Nothing to charge. No screen to stare at between shots. Just the game, and a card to remember it by.
